Why am I Getting a Wrong Count From the 80 MHz Timebase on My PCI-6602?

Hardware: Counter/Timers (TIO)>>Devices>>PCI-6602

Problem: When I run Count Buffered Edges (NI-TIO).vi that ships with LabVIEW, I notice that my count is not 4 times larger when using the 80 MHz timebase when compared to the 20 MHz timebase.

Solution: You should make sure that the "Synchronous Counting" switch on the front panel is set to ON, especially if the gate signal is larger than your source signal. The LabVIEW Help files recommend that synchronous counting be used anytime you are performing any buffered counter measurement except when performing buffered position measurement.
