How Much Control Do I Have in DASYLab Over the Pulse Train Functionality of My National Instruments Counter?

Primary Software: Other NI Software>>DASYLab
Primary Software Version: 6.00.03
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem: I would like to know the limits of DASYLab's Frequency Output module with my National Instuments DAQ board.

Solution:
Q: Can DASYLab generate a user configurable pulse train on a National Instruments DAQ board?
A: Yes

Q: What is the maximum pulse train frequency for which I can configure a counter in DASYLab using the Frequency Output module?
A: 5MHz with a 20MHz maximum timebase (e.g. e-series, 6601).
20MHz with a 80MHz maximum timebase (e.g. 6602).

Q: Can I manually select which timebase my counter uses for the pulse train generation?
A: No, DASYLab will automatically select the appropriate internal timebase based on which frequency you have selected.

Q: Can I manually change the output mode of my counter from the default Toggled mode to Pulsed mode in DASYLab?
A: No, DASYLab only supports using a counter in the default Toggled output mode. If you need to use the Pulsed output mode functionality of your counter consider using a different programming environment that allow full control of our DAQ driver such as LabVIEW or Visual C++.
