What Is An Instrument Driver MSI File? Primary Software: LabWindows/CVI Development Systems>>Full Development SystemPrimary Software Version: 7.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: Instrument Drivers/IVI
Problem: I am downloading an instrument driver for use with LabWindows/CVI from your website, and I notice that it has the extension ".msi". What is an MSI file and what do I do with it? Solution: MSI stands for Microsoft Installer. The Microsoft Installer utility currently ships with Windows XP, 2000, and ME. It is also available as a free download from the Microsoft website (see link below). MSI files use the Microsoft Installer utility to run an installation wizard that will install the instrument drivers onto your computer. If you already have the Microsoft Installer utility on your computer, all you will have to do is download the .msi file to your computer, then double-click on its icon and the installer should run. Please note that these types of files are only supported by 32-bit Windows operating systems (Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, ME, XP). Related Links: Microsoft Installer Utility Download Attachments:
