Problem: How do I instruct Ultiboard to only route a net on a specific copper layer?
Solution: The
Spreadsheet View easily allows you to configure the routable layers for any net:
- In Ultiboard select View » Spreadsheet View
- In the Spreadsheet View select the Nets tab
- Select the net to be routed (notice that the entire row becomes highlighted)
- Left-click once in the Routing Layers column for the chosen net
- In the Layers to Apply dialog box, place a check next to each layer where routing is permitted
- Click OK to exit
You can configure the routing layers for multiple nets at a time by selecting multiple rows in the
Spreadsheet View. Hold the <
CTRL> key while selecting individual nets or hold the <
SHIFT> key to select entire blocks of nets. Repeat the above procedure until all nets in the design have been configured to your satisfaction.
