What Precision Are the Coefficients for a Custom Polynomial Scale in Traditional NI-DAQ?

Problem: I created a custom polynomial scale in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX), yet MAX shows only four digits of precision. How many digits are used by the polynomial scale?

Solution: While MAX displays only four digits, the scale actually stores the coefficients as double-precision floating point numbers. If you are using LabVIEW, you can verify the values of the coefficients using the Get Scale Information VI. This VI is located in the Data Acquisition»Calibration and Configuration»DAQ Channel Utilities subpalette. Refer to the context help for more information on how to use this VI.
