Why Do I Get Error R6025 Pure Virtual Function Call?

Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-DAQmx
Primary Software Version: 7.0
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: LabVIEW Development Systems>>LabVIEW Full Development System

I have an application that I built using LabVIEW and it interfaces with PCI cards.  The application has run on the same computer successfully in the past, but now when I try to run the application I get the following error.

Error R6025 Pure Virtual Function Call

Why might this occur?

This error occurs when one or more of your PCI cards is no longer being recognized by your system. Try the following steps to ensure the device is being correctly recognized:
  1. Check Windows Device Manager to see if all of your cards that should be recognized as NI Data Acquisition Devices.  See Figure 1 for a properly recognized device.

  2. If one or more cards are missing, turn off the computer, and check to see if any cards are dislodged.  Ensure all the cards are seated properly.
  3. Turn your computer back on and re-check the Device Manager.
  4. If the PCI card is still not recognized, or the card is recognized and the error persists, please contact National Instruments Support.
