NI Serial Ports Not Recognized in Windows XPHardware: Serial>>RS-232>>PCMCIA-232, Serial>>RS-232>>PCI-232/4
Problem: I just installed NI Serial version 1.45 on my Windows XP machine and then installed a new PCMCIA-232 or PCI-232 card. When I go into Device Manager, the ports of the card are not recognized. Solution: NI Serial 1.45 was released in 2000 prior to Windows XP being released by Microsoft. It does not have native support for Windows XP. NI-Serial 1.5 and later versions do support Windows XP.
