Error 63 When Using the Simulation Interface Toolkit in LabVIEW Real-Time

Primary Software: LabVIEW Modules>>Real-Time Module
Primary Software Version: 6.1
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: LabVIEW Toolkits>>Simulation Interface Toolkit

Problem:
I have built my model DLL with The MathWorks, Inc. Simulink® and Real-Time Workshop® using the Simulation Interface Toolkit (SIT) template. When I try to specify a Real-Time Target in the SIT Connection Manager, I get error 63. What is wrong?

Solution:
Error 63 is a TCP/IP communication error. It normally shows up when more than one connection tries to access the same port. For example, the SIT Connection Mananger uses port 6011 by default. If the port is already used by another application or process, then you will see error 63. Preferably you can close any program that might be accessing port 6011. You can also try rebooting the PC. If you absolutely have to change the SIT port number, make sure you designate a unique port number that no other process uses.  To do this go through the following steps:
  1. Click on Tools»SIT Connection Manager
  2. Adjust the port number if needed.
