How Do I Detect TB-10 Dual Channel Modules in MAX?

Problem: How do I detect my TB-10 dual channel modules in MAX?
Solution: Follow the steps below to detect your TB-10 dual channel modules in MAX:
- Open Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX)
- Expand My Systems
- Right click on Devices and Interfaces and click Create New
- Select FieldPoint Serial under Devices and Interfaces » FieldPoint and click Next (Figure1)
- Set the baud rate in MAX and on the FP controller and click Finish (Figure 2)
- Click OK on the next screen that pops up
- MAX now detects the FP modules
- Highlight FP-TB-10 @ 1 under My Systems » Devices and Interfaces » FP @ COM1 » FP-1000 @0 Bank » FP-TB-10 @ 1 (Figure 3)
- Under the Device Configuration tab, you can see the TB-10 modules that have been detected.
Note: If none of your TB-10 modules have been detected you may need to upgrade your FieldPoint Firmware. To determine which Firmware you currently have and which is the right one for your configuration, follow the Upgrading FieldPoint Firmware Tutorial.
