USB 232/4 Device Shuts Down Hardware: Instrument Connectivity Other>>USB>>USB-232/4
Problem: My USB 232/4 device works for a while and suddenly turns off and then back on after a couple of minutes. I have already checked the USB power settings in Device Manager to disable allowing to turn off device for power savings. I also verified that only one device is connected to one USB root hub but my device still turns off randomly. Solution: This behaviour may be caused by driver issues. If you have NI-VISA 4.0 or older, upgrade to NI-VISA 4.1 or later. If you have NI-Serial 3.1 upgrade to NI-Serial 3.2 or later. You can download these drivers from the Drivers and Updates site.
