TestStand Not Recognizing Non-English Expressions

Primary Software: TestStand
Primary Software Version: 3.5
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
I have configured TestStand to use a non-English language by selecting Configure » Station Options and then choosing the Localization tab. After restarting TestStand, I tried entering non-English text into one of the TestStand dialogs. However, after I change the focus to another expression, TestStand replaces the previous expression with red strike-through question marks as shown in the attached screenshot. What's going on?

Solution:
When using a language that contains Multi-byte strings, such as Hebrew or Greek, there are several steps you must take to ensure this language works with TestStand. Follow the steps below to ensure you have selected the appropriate options.
  1. Open the Windows Control Panel and select "Regional and Language Options".
  2. Select the "Advanced" tab and choose the appropriate language under the "Language for non-Unicode programs" section. Click OK.
  3. Launch TestStand and select Configure » Station Options.
  4. Choose the Localization tab and verify that you have the language set as well as the Recognize Multi-byte Characters option checked.
  5. Restart TestStand.
