Offset Nulling with the SCC-SG24Hardware: SCC>>Modules>>SCC-SG24
Problem: I am using the SCC-SG24 module for strain measurements. When I use the potentiometers to null the offset of my strain gage, the signal remains the same. The offset is still present regardless of how I adjust the nulling potentiometer. What am I doing wrong? Solution: By default, the offset nulling resistors are not installed on the SCC-SG24. These resistors ship with the module, but you will need to install them to get the offset nulling potentiometers to work. Please see the "Replacing Resistors" section of the SCC-SG Series User manual linked below. The reason why these resistors are not installed at factory is because the SCC-SG24 module is usually use for Load Cell applications. Generally, there are a large number of load cells that are not compatible with offset nulling resistors because they would introduce an unwanted offset in the measurements.
