Which PXI/SCXI Combo Chassis Support Using Parallel Mode for the SCXI Modules?

Hardware: PXI/CompactPCI>>Chassis>>PXI-1011, PXI/CompactPCI>>Chassis>>PXI-1050, PXI/CompactPCI>>Chassis>>PXI-1010, PXI/CompactPCI>>Chassis>>PXI-1052

Problem: I want to get a PXI/SCXI Combo Chassis and I want to be able to set up my SCXI modules for parallel mode. Which PXI/SCXI Chassis support parallel mode?

Solution: In order to run in parallel mode a cable must be connected from the front of the controlling data acquisition (DAQ) card to the back of the SCXI module. For this reason, only PXI/SCXI Combo Chassis where the backplane of the SCXI is open can be used in parallel mode.

Combo Chassis that Support SCXI Modules in Parallel Mode
  • PXI-1010
  • PXI-1050

  • Do Not Support SCXI Modules in Parallel Mode

  • PXI-1052
