Missing Sound and Vibration Toolkit VIs After Installing LabVIEW 8.6

Problem:
I installed all NI software (Development Environment, Modules and Toolkits) from LabVIEW 8.6 Platform DVD. The installation was successful. I open LabVIEW but I can't find the Sound & Vibration Toolkit 8.6 VIs in the LabVIEW Functions Palette. How can I do to fix this issue?

Solution:
NI LabVIEW Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite 6.0 and NI LabVIEW Sound and Vibration Toolkit 6.0 are compatible LabVIEW software versions but they are two LabVIEW add-ons not updated for LabVIEW 8.6 (see the document: NI LabVIEW 8.6 – New Feature, Compatibility, Bug Fix, and Upgrade Information).

If any Sound and Vibration element can't be found into the LabVIEW help file, in the examples for LabVIEW or into the LabVIEW Functions Palette, there are two possible solutions to fix this issue:

  1. Uninstall and re-install the NI LabVIEW Sound and Vibration Measurement Suite 6.0 or the NI LabVIEW Sound and Vibration Toolkit 6.0 from the PC.
  2. Search for the directory LabVIEW at path: C:\Program Files\National Instruments. Copy and paste the following files into the listed folders:
    • From LabVIEW\help to LabVIEW8.6\help:
      •  lvoahowto.chm
      •  lvoat.chm
      •  sndvibtk.chm
      •  svlshrd.chm
      •  svmain.chm
      •  svtconcepts.chm
      •  Lvoahowto_attributes.xml
      •  Lvoat_attributes.xml
      •  Sndvibtk_attributes.xml
      •  svlshrd_attributes.xml
      •  svmain_attributes.xml
      •  svtconcepts_attributes.xml
    • From LabVIEW\menus\Controls to LabVIEW8.6\menus\Controls:
      • Sound and Vibration
    • From LabVIEW\readme to LabVIEW8.6\readme: 
      •  SVMS.html
    • From LabVIEW\vi.lib\addons to LabVIEW8.6\vi.lib\addons:
      • Sound and Vibration
      • NISVFA
    • From LabVIEW\vi.lib\express to LabVIEW8.6\vi.lib\express:
      • Order Analysis Assistant
      • Sound and Vibration Assistant
