Problem: Why do I get error -201168 when using NI PXIe-5442 after upgrading to FGEN driver version 2.5.1?  Solution: The NI PXIe-5442 firmware will need to be upgraded to work with the FGEN 2.5.1 driver. Upgrading NI PXIe-5442 Firmware If you are using an NI PXIe-5442 with NI-FGEN 2.5.1 you might receive an error message instructing you to upgrade the device firmware. If you receive this error, you must upgrade the firmware to be able to use the NI PXIe-5442. To update the firmware, run the NI PXIe-5442 Firmware Updater application (5442FirmwareUpdater_1.0.2.exe) that is installed in the Program Files\IVI\Drivers\niFgen\ directory. This application will upgrade your firmware to version 1.0.2. Once the application has finished running, you will be required to power down your computer and PXIe chassis to complete the firmware update. Note: The file path Program Files\IVI\Drivers\niFgen\ mentioned above and in the NI-FGEN 2.5.1 Readme can also be listed as Program Files\IVI Foundations\IVI\Drivers\niFgen\.
