Problem: Usually Real-Time controllers needs CMOS management or a battery for the internal Real-Time Clock. Since cRIO controllers have an internal battery how long does the battery last? Solution: CompactRIO, Compact FieldPoint, or any National Instruments Real-Time controller has what is called a Real-Time Clock Battery. This battery is meant to last about 10 years.
