What FPGA Chips are Used by National Instruments NI-IMAQ I/O Devices?

Hardware: Image Acquisition (IMAQ)>>Compact Vision System, Image Acquisition (IMAQ)>>Digital Image Devices>>PCIe-8254R, Image Acquisition (IMAQ)>>Digital Image Devices>>PCIe-8255R

Problem:
What FPGA Chips are Used by National Instruments NI-IMAQ I/O Devices?

Solution:
The following NI-IMAQ I/O devices use the XC2V1000-4-FG456 Xilinx FPGA chip (1 Million gates)
  • CVS-1455, Rev A-C Only
  • CVS-1456, Rev A-C Only

The following NI-IMAQ I/O devices use the XC2V500-4-FG456 Xilinx FPGA chip (500,000 gates)
  • CVS (except for the models listed above)
  • 8254R
  • 8255R

All of the above FGPAs have a 40 MHz Onboard Clock. Specific information about these FPGA chips can be found on the Xilinx web site. Relevant information for the use of these NI devices can also be found in the manuals linked below.
