Using NI ELVIS Executable Software and LabVIEW VI (NI ELVIS API) Concurrently

Problem: When I try to run a custom or example program using the ELVIS VIs while I have the NI ELVIS executable software running (Soft Front Panel (SFP) Instruments), I receive an error (9023). Why?

Solution: You must stop the NI ELVIS executable software (SFP Instruments) before attempting to run a VI that uses NI ELVIS VIs. NI ELVIS uses NI-DAQ 6.9.3 (Traditional NI-DAQ) which is not multithreaded. Running both the executable and NI ELVIS VIs concurrently requires using the same resources and this isn't allowed in a non-multithreaded environment.
