Why Are There Two Release Dates for TestStand 2010 SP1, LabWindows™/CVI 2010 SP1, and Measurement Studio 2010 SP1?

Primary Software: LabWindows/CVI Run-Time Engine
Primary Software Version: 2010 SP1
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
TestStand 2010 SP1, LabWindows/CVI 2010 SP1, and Measurement Studio 2010 SP1 originally released in August 2011. I noticed these products have a different part number in the 2012 Developer Suite 1 media than the 2011 Developer Suite 3 media. I also noticed, on ni.com/downloads, that the release date of these three products has been updated to February 2012. Why did National Instruments rerelease these three products and what is the difference between the August 2011 release and the February 2012 release?

Solution:
National Instruments released Security Update 5Q5FJ4QW in November 2011 after TestStand 2010 SP1, LabWindows/CVI 2010 SP1, and Measurement Studio 2010 SP1 had released. The security update included an updated version of the LabWindows/CVI Run-Time Engine which is installed with several National Instruments products. Due to the nature of the issues resolved in the Security Update, with customers’ interests in mind, National Instruments rereleased TestStand 2010 SP1, LabWindows/CVI 2010 SP1, and Measurement Studio 2010 SP1 with the updated LabWindows/CVI Run-Time Engine included. The only change to these software packages is the updated LabWindows/CVI Run-Time Engine.
