ValueMotion Stepper Boards Do Not Allow Read the Position While a Move is in Progress

Problem: If I try to run a program that starts a move in velocity mode and then monitors in a cycle the encoder position, I am not able to access the encoder information, and the Read Position function returns a value fixed to zero.


Solution: This is because the Stepper ValueMotion board does not have this capability. This is not a problem if you use a ValueMotion Servo board. This is a hardware limitation of the Stepper ValueMotion boards.
