What is the Difference Between the SCB-68 and the SCC-68?

Hardware: Counter/Timers (TIO)>>Connectivity>>SCB-68, Counter/Timers (TIO)>>Connectivity>>SCB-68, Multifunction DAQ (MIO)>>Connector Blocks>>SCC-68

Problem:
I see on the product page for my data acquisition device that I can connect either the SCB-68 and SCC-68 to my device with a cable in order to more easily connect signals. What is the difference?

Solution:
The SCB-68 (Shielded Connector Block):
  • Provides a direct breakout of the terminals on the DAQ device, via screw terminals.
  • For use with 68-pin M, E, B, S, and R Series DAQ devices.
The SCC-68 (Terminal Block with SCC Expansion Slots):
  • Provides a direct breakout of the terminals on the DAQ device, via screw terminals.
  • For use with M or E Series devices and DAQmx only.
  • Provides four SCC slots for integrating various SCC signal conditioning modules.
  • Powered internally through the DAQ device, but an external power supply may be needed depending on the application.
