Can I Connect My DAQPad 6015/6016 to the DAQ Signal Accessory?

Hardware: Multifunction DAQ (MIO)>>Basic>>DAQPad-6015 for USB, Multifunction DAQ (MIO)>>Basic>>DAQPad-6016 for USB w/Screw Term

Problem: Can I connect my DAQPad 6015/6016 to the DAQ Signal Accessory?

Solution: It is recommended to use a PCI/PXI/PCMCIA 68-pin E Series or M Series device with the DAQ Signal Accessory. However, if this is not an option, you can use a DAQPad instead. The DAQPad 6015 mass termination has a 68-pin connector that will give you full access to all of the pins on the Signal Accessory. All you have to do is connect a 68-pin cable between the connector on the DAQPad 6015 mass termination and the 68-pin connector on the DAQ Accessory.

If you have the standard DAQPad 6015 or 6016, you can still use it with the Signal Accessory, but you won't have full access to all of the pins. If you unscrew the top section of the DAQPad 6015 there is a 50 pin connector and if you unscrew the top section of the DAQPad 6016 there are two 50 pin connectors. You can connect a NB1 50-pin ribbon cable from the right connector of the DAQPad to the 50-pin MIO Device connector on the Signal Accessory. When you do this you will only have access to pins 1-50 on the DAQPad. This means that all of the analog inputs/outputs, digital lines, and counter 0 source/out will work as expected. However, you will not have access to counter 0 gate, counter 1, or PFI0.
