Differences Between a NI Switch Executive Deployment License and EnginePrimary Software: Switch ExecutivePrimary Software Version: 3.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I am developing with NI Switch Executive and plan to deploy my code to one or more targets. Some software, such as LabVIEW, require an engine on which to run any code, while other software require deployment licenses. Do I need a deployment license, a deployment engine, or neither? Solution: When deploying a system that requires the use of NI Switch Executive, each target machine needs to have a deployment license. In the context of Switch Executive, deployment engine is the same as deployment license. As of the release of Switch Executive 3.0, you may now purchase a single license or unlimited licenses.
