Why Do I Have To Create a Signal Before Using a SignalExpress Generate Signal Step?

Problem:
I am trying to generate a signal in SignalExpress, but I get a "Missing Inputs" error. Why?

Solution:
The SignalExpress signal generation steps are not designed to create the data to be generated. The signal generation steps are hardware steps that must take the signal to be generated as an input. Before generating a signal, SignalExpress must have a signal representing the data to be generated. This can be accomplished by using the Create Signal, Acquire Signals, or Load Signals steps before the signal generation step.
