Error -1074118646 When Initializing Synchronization Card Hardware: PXI/CompactPCI>>Platform Modules>>PXI-6652
Problem: I am running a program that tries to use a PXI-66xx synchronization card, but when I run the program it stops during the initialization VI and indicates Error -1074118646: An error occurred while initializing the driver. Solution: If the card is not using the correct resource name or is unable to associate the resource name with the card, it will throw this error. In Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX), go to Devices and Interfaces and right click on PXI System. Choose Show PXI Bus Details and verify that the resource of the PXI-66xx in MAX matches that in LabVIEW. If under PXI Bus Details you do not see the PXI-66xx, go into Device Manager and locate the card in the chassis. Right click on the card and choose Uninstall. The uninstall option disassociates the card with the current driver and will associate it with the correct driver if it is currently installed on the computer. To get to Device Manager, you can right click on My Computer and select Properties. Choose Device Manager under the Hardware tab. This error can also occur when the NI-Sync driver has not been installed properly. In this case, consider repairing the driver by going to Start»Settings»Control Panel»Add or Remove Programs. Find National Instruments Software and select the Change or Change/Remove button. Locate NI-Sync x.x.x and choose Repair. Once you have indicate the location of the distribution files, finish repairing the driver and restart your computer. Related Links: Product Manuals: NI PXI-6553 User Manual Attachments:
