What do the MATLAB® Script Node and HiQ Script Node do? How do they differ from the LabVIEW Forumla Node?
These nodes are similar to the LabVIEW formula node, but they allow you to import an existing script written in The MathWorks, Inc. MATLAB® language syntax or HiQ (in ASCII form) and run the script from LabVIEW. As with a formula node, you may pass data to and from the script nodes. LabVIEW uses ActiveX to pass the script to the MATLAB script server or HiQ for execution, meaning that this functionality is currently available on 32-bit Windows platforms (Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP/Vista/7) on which the MATLAB or HiQ software is installed.
