Lookout WebClient Objects X'd out

Primary Software: Lookout
Primary Software Version: 6.0
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem: I am trying to run a Client process with the Lookout WebClient on my local intranet. The WebClient loads the file correctly, and I can see the objects on the panel; however, the objects have red X's on them. When I run the Server and Client process on the same machine, everything works fine. What is causing this problem?

Solution: There are 2 things that may cause this problem:
  1. If the Computer running the Server process is running Windows XP Service Pack 2, you will need to disable the Windows XP firewall.
  2. If the Symbolic Link in the Client process is not set up correctly, the Client process will not be able to access the Server process on the Server computer. Before exporting the web server files, make sure the symbolic link is set up correctly:

    1. From Object Explorer, right-click on the symbolic link and select "Properties..."
    2. In the "Source" field, make sure the URL = \\Server_Computer_Name_or_IP_Address\Server_Process_Name
