Examples for Creating Modulated Signals for Use With NI-FGEN Signal Sources

Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-FGEN
Primary Software Version: 2.0
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: LabVIEW Toolkits>>Spectral Measurements Toolkit

Problem:
Are there examples that show how to create a modulated signal for generation by a NI-FGEN based Signal Source from National Instruments?

Solution:
The Spectral Measurements Toolkit (SMT) installs analog modulation/demodulation support (AM, FM, PM). The Modulation Toolkit (MT) installs both analog and digital modulation support (QAM, FSK, ASK, etc....). There are examples that show how to create analog or digitally modulated signals in SW and then generate those signals from an NI-FGEN based signal source. These examples can be located through the LabVIEW Example Finder or directly at:

C:\.....\(LabVIEW Directory)\examples\Modulation\FGEN examples

You must have installed the NI-FGEN driver prior to the SMT and MT for the examples to be installed. The SMT and MT detect the presence of NI-FGEN to determine whether or not to install these examples.
