Problem: What is the proper way to use an NI ELVIS Express VI in a While Loop?

Solution: The proper way to use an ELVIS Express VI in a While Loop is to wire the stop control of that While Loop to both the Stop input of the Express VI and to the conditional terminal of the While Loop. This will prevent the task from being reconfigured with each iteration of the loop, as well as stop the task and release the resources when the While Loop is stopped. The image below demonstrates this.
