(c)FP-CTR-500 Destroyed When Applying External Power

Hardware: FieldPoint

Problem:
If I apply a voltage above 20V to the breakout box, such as a cFP-CB-1, or the Terminal Block on a (c)FP-CTR-500 to provide external power, the (c)FP-CTR-500 will be destroyed.

Solution:
Despite the rating of 10-30V DC External Power Supply in the manual, there was a hardware issue with the (c)FP-CTR-500. Use a power source less than 20V to avoid this issue.

Note: This issue(#54139) has been fixed in revisions of the (c)FP-CTR-500 manufactured 8/10/2007 (CCA:185500H-01, Modules:185503D-01/02) and later.
