Primary Software: Switch Executive
Primary Software Version: 1.0
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software:

Problem: When going through the Create New Wizard, Switch Executive causes the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) to crash, and the error dialog that comes up looks like this:

    Failure : "setstate.cpp", line 1502
    LabVIEW version 6.1
For assistance in resolving this problem, please record the preceding information and navigate to www.ni.com/failure, or contact National Instruments.

Solution: This problem only occurs if you install another provider for MAX that was written using LabVIEW, such as VI Logger.

To fix the problem, you must download the Switch Executive Patch file (linked below), which contains three files: readme.txt, nise.dll, and niseUI.llb.

Replace your existing nise.dll found in ...\Windows(or WINNT)\System32\ with the new nise.dll.
Place niseUI.llb in the ...\National Instruments\MAX\UI Providers\LVProviders\niSE\ folder.

Please read the readme.txt file for more information.
