Problem: Why does my PCI framegrabber not show up in the available devices in Vision Builder AI whenever I try to do an Acquire Image step, but I can acquire images from Measurement and Automation Explorer? Solution: Whenever the framegrabber device is highlighted in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX), MAX reserves the resource to the device. This causes the framegrabber to not appear when an acquire image step in Vision Builder for AI (VBAI) is opened. In order for the framegrabber resource to be released so VBAI can use the device, simply close out of the current VBAI script to return to the splash screen and close the NI-IMAQ Devices tree in MAX or exit MAX entirely. You will then be able to configure an inspection with the framegrabber appearing in the available devices. Related Links: Attachments:
