Why Isn't My SCXI-1163 Detected in MAX? Hardware: SCXI>>Modules>>SCXI-1163
Problem: I have a SCXI-1163 in my SCXI chassis, but when I click the Auto-Detect All Modules button in my SCXI Chassis Configuration dialog box, MAX does not find my SCXI-1163. Solution: Depending on the revision of your SCXI-1163, it may or may not be used as a communicating module for a SCXI chassis. Revision E and later of the SCXI-1163 is able to be used as a communicating module in a chassis. To know what revision you have, check the seventh character in the part number. For example, part number 182247C-01 is revision C. If you have a revision earlier than E, then you will need another SCXI module as the communicating module for the chassis.
