Vision Builder Custom Step Does Not Show Up in VBAI 3.6

Primary Software: Vision Builder for Automated Inspection
Primary Software Version: 1.0
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: Vision Builder for Automated Inspection

Problem:
I received a custom step that has been produced for distribution, but I do not see it listed in Vision Builder AI 3.6. What can I do to use the custom step?

Solution:
With Vision Builder AI Software Development Kit (SDK) you can create custom steps for distribution. If a step has been produced for distribution it will appear as a .bin file with a .tiff file sharing the same name accompanying it. These files need to be placed in the UserPlugins folder located at <National Instruments>\Vision Builder AI 3.6\UserPlugins.

Custom steps added to the UserPlugins folder will appear under the Additional Tools tab in Vision Builder AI. You can quickly locate your custom step by the image of the .tiff file displayed next to it. If the step was not built in Vision Builder AI 3.6, then you will need to have yourself or the provider of the custom step will need to move the step into the <National Instruments>\Vision Builder AI 3.5\UserPlugins. Once the step has been added launch LabVIEW 8.5.1 and select Tools»Import Vision Builder AI 3.5 Custom Step. This will launch the importing previous custom Previously Created Step wizard; from here you can roll out the custom step.
