What to do if DIAdem scripted ASCII Import fails when using an old German configuration file ? Primary Software: DIAdemPrimary Software Version: 9.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: DIAdem can save configurations for its Ascii Import to allow re-using the parameters for importing data from many similar input files. Configurations are saved in *.stp files and contain keywords to control the behavior of the ASCII Import. Until DIAdem 8.1 some keywords were language-dependent: English: 'Numeric','Date/Time','Textchannel','Ignore' German: 'Numerisch','Datum/Zeit','Text','ignorieren' After that only the English keywords were allowed, but the German version of DIAdem 10.0 still accepts the legacy keywords. When using an English DIAdem 10.0 with a very old configuration file originating from a German DIAdem without entering the Ascii Import Wizard, then the import fails. Solution: 1st option: Just edit the configuration, exchange the few keywords 2nd option: Switch on the wizard for import 3rd option: Do one manual import, at the end store the configuration Related Links: Attachments:
