Can a PXI Card Taller than 100mm Fit in a PXI Chassis? Hardware: PXI/CompactPCI>>Chassis>>PXI-1045
Problem: I have a PXI card that is taller than the 100mm standard height. Will my PXI card fit in a NI Chassis? Solution: It depends on how much taller the PXI card is. If it is less than 5mm taller then you can remove the top row of plastic guides that are located on the inside of the chassis. To remove the guides you will first have to remove the top cover of the chassis. Once the cover is off then the guides should be easy to remove. If the PXI card is taller than 105mm then it will not fit in most National Instruments PXI chassis. However, if the card is a 6U PXI card then it will fit in the PXI-1056.
