솔루션:

NI-DMM의 전면부에 있는 Auxiliary (AUX) 는 PXI System이나 PC가 내부에 고정되어 있을 때 추가로 연결할 수 있는 통신용 연결단자 입니다.

AUX 커넥터는 크게 2가지로 사용됩니다.

1. SCXI Switch Module Control

DMM은 높은 정확도와 해상도로 채널 갯수에 한계가 있습니다. Switch/DMM 설정에서 Switch를 DMM에 라우팅 하는 방법으로 채널 개수를 사용자가 원하는 만큼 확장할 수 있습니다.

2. External Triggering or Handshaking with NI & 3rd Party Devices

사용자 트리거 소스를 DMM에 공급할 경우나 수 개의 DMM (동기화를 하고 싶은) 들을 직접 모듈의 전면부를 통해 연결할 수 있습니다. 외부 커넥션이 없이 외부 트리거를 사용해야 할 경우, DMM에서 참조 가능한 PXI Backplane으로 신호를 라우팅할 수 있는 Multifunction DAQ등이 필요합니다. AUX 커넥터는 9개의 핀을 가집니다. Pin Assignment : 외부 트리거나  Handshaking으로                사용할 경우 : 2 Ground 3 AUX Trigger In 6 Measurement Complete (MC) 9 External Trigger In (Trigger/Sample Trigger) SCXI 통신으로 사용할 경우: 1–5, 7–9 SCXI Communication
