Problem: Can I set Lookout to run as an NT Service so that it starts running in the background as soon as Windows loads?
Solution: To configure Lookout as an NT Service, you need to follow these steps:
- From Lookout, go to the Options menu and select NT Service....
- Check Start Automatically as NT Service. If you want to log into Lookout as a specific NT user account, select the Log on as a specified user and enter the account name, a password, and/or the domain name. For more information on when to specify a domain or a user account, please refer to Lookout's help.
- You might also want to specify a startup process within Lookout. To do so, go to the Options menu and select Startup.... Click on Add... to browse for a specific process file and add it to the startup list. You can have multiple startup process files.
Note: Configuring an applications as an NT Service is a feature only supported in Windows NT/2000/XP.
