Error 10800 and Output Regeneration with the DAQCard-6715 Hardware: Signal Sources (AWG/FG/AO)>>Analog Output Devices>>DAQCard-6715
Problem: The DAQCard-6715 is only generating output with data from the first buffer that was written to the card. When new data is written to the buffer to be output, it is ignored. Also, the Continuous Output.vi example reports error 10800 when probing the error cluster, but the VI does not stop. Why is this occurring? Solution: The example VI does not stop because error 10800 is a warning that a timeout has occured and no new data has been written to the buffer. This causes the VI to regenerate the analog output, which is not a fatal error. Increase the buffer size and keep the update rate lower so that data transfers to the DAQCard-6715 occur less often. This prevents the 10800 timeout error because the PCMCIA bus is interrupt based and with a larger buffer, the processor doesn't have to respond to as many interrupts. Related Links: Attachments:
