Problem: I am trying to generate LabVIEW code from my LabVIEW SignalExpress project. I have multiple versions of LabVIEW installed. When I select Tools»Generate Code»LabVIEW Diagram, no code is generated and instead an empty VI is created. How can I fix this problem? Solution: LabVIEW SignalExpress only supports one version of LabVIEW at a time for the code generation feature. Support for this feature is installed only to the current version of LabVIEW at the time that SignalExpress is installed. This means that if you have LabVIEW 7.1, LabVIEW 8.0, and LabVIEW 8.2 all installed at the time that SignalExpress is installed, support for LabVIEW code generation will only be installed for LabVIEW 8.2. When you use the code generation feature in SignalExpress, the newest version of LabVIEW is not necessarily invoked; instead the last launched version of LabVIEW is invoked. This can cause a problem with the code generation feature if the last LabVIEW version launched was something other than the version of LabVIEW for which SignalExpress installed support. To fix this problem, just launch the version of LabVIEW for which SignalExpress installed support and then generate code again.
