Trouble Installing LabVIEW 6.0 Evaluation and Measurement Studio Demo

Problem: I have been trying to install LabVIEW 6.0 Evaluation and the Measurement Studio Demo. After successfully installing the LabVIEW 6.0 Evaluation, I proceeded to install the Measurement Studio Demo. The Measurement Studio Demo aborted with an error message indicating that I needed to install the LabVIEW 6.0.2 patch.

I went to http://ni.com and downloaded the patch. When I tried to install the LabVIEW 6.0.2 patch, the installer aborted with the message, "Error setting transform registry settings. Please ensure that the original is properly installed."

What is the problem, and how can I resolve it?

Solution: The LabVIEW 6.0.2 patch only works on a purchased copy of LabVIEW.

To resolve this issue, simply install the Measurement Studio Demo first. After installing the Measurement Studio Demo, you will be able to install the evaluation copy of LabVIEW 6.0.
