The LabWINDOWS/CVI Be_acps Instrument Driver Needs to Have Delays Inserted after Ibwrt and Ibrd Function Calls. Primary Software: Instrument Drivers/IVI>>IVI Engine PackagePrimary Software Version: 2.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: Instrument Drivers/IVI
Problem: I have a fast computer and my instrument driver does not seem to keep up. Solution: It looks like the Be_acps power supply driver can't keep up. Therefore, extra delays need to be inserted into the code. There are wrappers around the ibwrt and ibrd functions. Basically, within each of these wrappers one needs to insert a Delay(0.2);. It should go after the if, then, else statement and before the return call. A note should be included in the history documenting this and notifying users that they might need to extend the delay time if they are running into similar problems. Related Links: Attachments:
