Problem: I would like to run my Lookout server process on a computer running Windows 2000 Server. I noticed that Windows 2000 is listed as a supported operating system, but the Server OS is not. Is Windows 2000 Server supported for Lookout? Solution: Windows 2000 Server was created as a multipurpose networking operating system, while Windows 2000 was created as desktop/laptop solution. Although the names are similar, Windows 2000 Server was designed for a very different use. National Instruments has never tested Lookout on the Windows 2000 Server OS and subsequently does not support Lookout on this operating system.
