How do I use my Lookout integrator license on my customer's computer?

Primary Software: Lookout
Primary Software Version: 6.0.2
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem: I am a Lookout integrator and I am at my customers site where I would like to make a minor modification to the process and redeploy it. How do I work with my Lookout integrator's license on my customers computer?

Solution: Steps to work with your Integrator license:

  1. Deactivate your customer's license on the machine

  2. Activate your Integrator license

  3. Develop/Modify desired Lookout process

  4. Deactivate your integrator license on your customers machine

  5. Activate your customer's original license

  6. Now depending on the version of Lookout you are working with, there are options on how to deactivate Lookout licenses.

Lookout 5.1 and earlier: When a new license is installed it will overwrite the old license, so just add the new serial number and keycode
Lookout 6.0: Install a deactivated license file [found in the link below] using the NI license manager. License manager places the deactivated license file in the right folder so that Lookout can see this file at start-up. This deactivated license file overwrites the existing activated license.
Lookout 6.0.2 and above: Open NI license manager and navigate to the version of lookout that you want to deactivate. Now, right-click on the Lookout version to bring up the short cut menu, and select 'Deactivate...' to deactivate the product.

There are many options to activate NI products and the links below give more information.
Note: It is important to complete steps 4 and 5
