Problem: I had to re-install SignalExpress on another computer and now my "Save to HWS" step is missing. What do I need to install? Solution: Even though support for HWS (NI Hierarchical Waveform Storage) is installed by many drivers (including the NI Driver CD and NI-HWS installer), SignalExpress did not add support for the NI HWS file type until version 1.1. However, since version v1.1 was a free upgrade from v1.0, all users who have v1.0, should also have v1.1. Also, the v1.1 upgrade is not available from the National Instruments website, so you will need to locate your original SignalExpress 1.1 CD and upgrade your SignalExpress. If you have already installed SignalExpress 1.1 or higher, you are most likely missing the driver support for NI-HWS. You will need to install NI-HWS which can be located on a recent NI Device Driver CD or from our drivers download pages (see link below).
