Using the FP-1300 with LabVIEW 7.0

Hardware: Industrial Communications>>CAN>>FP-1300

Problem: Currently the FP-1300 software does not support LabVIEW 7.0. How can I use the FP-1300 in LabVIEW 7.0 or 7.1?

Solution: The NI-CAN driver that shiped with the FP-1300 software (version 1.0) only supports LabVIEW 6.0/6.1. In order to get support for a newer version of LabVIEW you need to get a newer version of the NI-CAN driver that does support your LabVIEW version.

In general, follow this installation procedure:
  1. Install the LabVIEW software
  2. Uninstall exsiting FP-1300 Software Version 1.0 and NI-CAN software
  3. Install the new NI-CAN Software
  4. Install version 1.0.1 of the FP-1300 Software
