Can I Downgrade the Firmware on My FlexMotion Controller?Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-Motion/FlexMotionPrimary Software Version: 6.1.2 Primary Software Fixed Version: 6.1.2 Secondary Software: N/A Hardware: Motion Control>>Controllers>>PCI-7330, Motion Control>>Controllers>>PCI-7340, Motion Control>>Controllers>>PCI-7350
Problem: I have a motion system in which I am using an older version of NI-Motion. Because I needed the controller in a different location, I moved it to another computer that was using a newer version of NI-Motion. When I did this, I had to upgrade the firmware on the controller in order for it to work. Now I would like to use the controller on the other PC, but the firmware is a newer version. Can I downgrade to the older version of the firmware? Solution: The newer versions of the motion firmware should not have any negative effects on the performance of the board on older driver versions, as the firmware is backwards compatible. For the latest versions of the firmware, as well as the latest driver versions, please see the NI-Motion downloads page linked below. However, if you still need to downgrade your motion firmware, then complete the following steps
