Problem:
Why do I get an error in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) after Windows Vista resumes from sleep or hibernation?

Solution:
This is a rarely seen known issue in Windows Vista without Service Pack 1 installed.  Closing and restarting MAX will resume a working state.  Installing Service Pack 1 should fix the cause of the error.
