Updating Driver Files for Industrial Automation OPC Server

Primary Software: Lookout
Primary Software Version: 5.1
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem: I have just received a new driver file for my Industrial Automation OPC Server software. The driver file is allbrad.cbx (or could be any other PLC driver file). What is the process for adding this file to the software?

Solution: You should stop the Industrial Automation OPC Server (basically make sure you do not have any OPC connections to it and that the configuration program is closed). Then replace the allbrad.cbx that is currently in the Industrial Automation OPC Servers folder (C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Industrial Automation OPC Servers\). If you want to keep a copy of the original driver file make sure you change the extension (i.e. allbrad.cbx.org) or move it out of the folder. Open the Industrial Automation OPC Server configuration program and you should have the new driver options when configuring the PLC driver object.
