Transferring a TestStand Deployment License to Another Computer

Primary Software: TestStand
Primary Software Version: 3.5
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
I have a TestStand Deployment License installed on one of my machines. I have decided to stop using this machine as a deployment machine and would like to use another machine instead. How can I transfer my TestStand Deployment License from the old computer to the new one?

Solution:
Before you can activate your license on your new computer, you need to deactivate the old computer's license. To do this, follow the steps below.
  1. Select Start » Programs » National Instruments » NI License Manager.
  2. Inside NI License Manager, expand your Local Licenses tree and navigate to the appropriate TestStand software version.
  3. Expand the TestStand tree and select the appropriate deployment license (either Base or Debug).
  4. Right-click on this license and click Deactivate.
On your new machine (with the TestStand Engine installed), follow the same steps above, but activate instead of deactivate the license. Once you complete the activation procedure (by the web, phone or fax) your license will be activated on your new machine and no longer activated on your old machine.
